Can I restrict access to specific resources over VPC peering?
Last updated: March 28, 2025
When setting up VPC peering with Aptible's dedicated stacks, it's important to understand the following limitations around access restrictions:
The VPC peering configuration does not support custom rules at the peer level
Resources in dedicated stacks use dynamic IPs within the 10.X.0.0/16 range, making IP-based filtering impractical
Due to these constraints, VPC peering connections should be treated as trusted networks with full access between the peered VPCs. If you need more granular access control, you may need to explore alternative networking solutions.
